TRAPPING OPTIONS
WHEN YOU HAVE CRITTERS YOU JUST CAN'T GET RID OF
There are many different traps that are available
to choose from. Some can only be used in certain areas because of laws, primarily in cities. In other cases it is the land
owner’s choice in how they want the animal captured. Below are pictures of different traps that are available to help
you help me choose how to capture your problem animal(s).
The cage trap captures animals alive to be released in the Perry Lake wilderness area.



Easily allows non-target animals to be released.

This trap catches animals by the foot, alive.

Use carefully in areas with children and pets.

This trap quickly and humanely kills the animal. It is not legal to set inside certain city limits (i.e. Topeka, KS)

Colony traps or repeating traps are great to set in ponds when trying to catch muskrats.

It also works well when trying to catch more than one small baby, like these three skunks.

Snares, when set properly, are another non-lethal trapping option.

These are species specific when set correctly.

The Collarum® is a cable restraint device designed to catch a coyote alive.

The Koro (Hancock style) live beaver trap.

Allows a beaver to be caught alive and released in another location.

The Victor Out O' Sight mole trap is my favorite for trapping moles.

I paint my mole traps bright orange on the top and mark them with flags in the yard to help the home owner avoid lawn mower accidents.

The Gophinator gopher trap, a windup trap that kills adults and juvenile gophers.
Gopher traps are placed in the gopher tunnels and flagged with marking flags.

The Victor Mouse Snap Trap is used to catch voles.

Using this setup, voles can be caught using the common mouse trap.
